I'm supposed to be...

...at the Abilene Zoo. But parents aren't allowed to ride the bus unless they turned in a background check at the beginning of the year. I guess I forgot to the turn that one in. Then on my way back from taking Diamond to school, I pondered just going to work anyway. What would I do at home? Well, I went back to sleep and decided to stay home. I'm going to make it a productive day. I'm going to take a long walk with my dog, do some reading, do some cleaning, and whatever else I can do.

I wonder if they're having fun at the zoo...

Incomplete

My Sunday is incomplete. I missed church this morning. I didn't sleep at all last night due to this horrible cough and my medicine was still in my system this morning. I couldn't wake up. Dear Jesus, please help take this cough away. I'm tired of it already. My Sunday just doesn't feel right. I never miss church, especially to being sick. Even when I go on trips, I like to be back on Sundays just so I can go. Just praying that I'll feel better.

Diamond went to church with my parents and when she came home and saw that I was still in bed, she leaned over on me and prayed over me. How sweet! I love my little girl!

Le Corsaire

The Pirate... It was the theme of Dime's ballet recital this evening. It was absolutely adorable. I wish I could have video of it, but unfortunately, no video or photography was allowed during the show due to copyright purposes. Hmmm... some parents don't listen though (I am not one of those.) But I did manage to catch some before and after photos...

Sick...

I hope I'm not getting sick. I have a little bit of a sore throat and woke up this morning with a runny nose.

Dear Jesus, I pray that keep all the germies away from my body. Amen.

I'm going to bed.

We don't all speak the same language...

At work today, I received a call from our greeter. She says, "Pauline, can you come down and translate for me?" I ask for the member's account number just to prepare myself a little and guess what... I couldn't even pronounce his name. I'm not sure what his nationality was, whether it was Vietnamese, Thai, or what, but I knew for a fact that we wouldn't speak the same language. So in conclusion, just because our eyes are just a little bit slanted, look closely, and they slant different ways and therefore, we don't speak the same language. Ha ha ha!

I went downstairs anyway to try to help him hoping I could at least understand his English. I think the mission was accomplished.

Camping

This weekend, I went camping for the first time ever. It was a pretty good experience, other than the 35 degree weather we had to sleep in. We built a fire, slept in the tents, walked some trails, tried to learn how to skip rocks, and all that fun stuff. I really enjoyed it and definitely would be up for doing it again.
Sleeping in the cold was probably the hardest thing about it. It was one of those times when you were stuck in a situation, but there was really nothing you could do about it. You just had to tough it out and survive. I really thought I wasn't going to fall asleep. But when I woke up in the morning, I had all of Bekah's blankets and mine on top of me. Woopsy! I don't know how I managed to do that.
My favorite part was sitting around the campfire, which was really cool because someone brought a stick that made the fire turn into all different sorts of colors, listening to people tell stories and have debates about some of the silliest topics ever. It was just such a beautiful, clear night. You could look up and see all of the stars and I love stars! Here are some pictures from the weekend...

Vertically challenged

Today, I had lunch with a friend at Double Dave's. We decided to sit at a booth, which I think are awkwardly positioned there anyway... and guess what? My feet didn't touch the floor. I could swing my feet. I felt like a little kid.

I'm just not good at this...

I'm not a good blogger. Sometimes I say I want to write that in my blog, but I just forget about it. I still haven't even posted pictures of my vacation. At least I got them up on myspace.
